Harrison's Christening cake

My next project was a Christening cake. The brief once again was very broad so I had a look around and found something I liked that I thought would give me a challenge!

I got this gorgeous patchwork cutter set that had this cute little lion in it and a few other baby things, like the rattle, safety pin, the dummy (pacifier), and the baby bottle.

I had cut out some stencils using cardboard to make the blue background, tree's and grass.

Next was my handmade elephant and his bed. I made these out of pettinice, another animal figurine added to my collection.

I love the finished product, chocolate mud cake with white chocolate icing. Yummy!

Happy Easter

Well my Easter post is a bit late. We were heading down to Rosebud for our traditional Good Friday lunch so I decided I would take some decedant Chocolate cakes.

Here are my Chocolate cakes with Chocolate buttercream and Chocolate mousse filling! Wow I don't think I could have got any more chocolate in these if I tried!

I took the twelve cakes, it was a shame that there only ended up being five people there, there are usually about ten people there, but unfortunatly not this year, so there were lots of leftovers!
Happy Easter!

They where very yummy!

A Birthday Cake for Steph

Well, next I had a request for a birthday cake, once again do what you like!

As we only had a few days, we decided on a Chocolate mud cake with chocolate buttercream and I thought this would be a good opportunity to practice my pipped roses. Not too bad, practice will only make them better.

I hope they enjoyed the cake!
